Every great sanctuary starts with a spark. For us, it happened on Mother's Day in 2020. What started as a casual drive through Bastian, Virginia turned into a completely serendipitous, undeniable calling - what we like to call a true "God thing."
When we first stepped foot onto these 66 acres, we immediately felt an overwhelming sense of peace. The world went quiet. The air was different. We knew instantly that this mountain wasn't just meant for us; it was meant to be shared with anyone who needed to hit pause on the chaos of life.

Pride's Mountain isn't a cookie-cutter resort dropped onto a hillside. This isn't resort tourism — it's real agricultural tourism, rooted in the land itself. We poured our own sweat and grit into every inch of this property to create a genuine rural getaway.
The main farmhouse was built meticulously by hand - we pulled heavy, rugged stones straight from the mountain to lay the foundation and build the fireplace, which features original, reclaimed 1840s Old Virginia bricks. The guest house tells its own story - built by Amish craftsmen using cedar and black walnut lumber harvested right here on the property, milled on-site from the land itself.
We believe an authentic farm tourism experience requires an authentic environment, and you can literally feel the history in our walls.
